My 35th Birthday
and what an amazing day it was............
December 22, 2008
I was lucky enough to be able to have Mom and Dad come down from Crossville to spend my Birthday with me. We had the day basically planned out but we're always good with "going with the flow" So with that in mind, we headed to The Pancake Pantry downtown about 10am. Anyone who knows Nashville, knows the The Pancake Pantry which is across the street from Vandy Hospital has a great reputation for great food and a very common place to see a Celebrity or 2!! Anyone who knows me, knows I want to go where the Celebrities go and if I'm lucky enough, I'll get a picture with them. Unfortunately for us, it was 9 degrees outside and a long line to get into The Pancake Pantry, so we skipped it and went to Ihop.

To make a long story, short................. today was an absolutely AMAZING day for seeing Celebrities and I'm so happy Mom and Dad were along for the ride.......
Here's what we captured!!!
Green Hills Mall..... 1130 am.......10 minutes south of Nashville
I see a petite woman way ahead of me, walking away from me, with long bright RED hair...... wearing a jacket that says on the back STARSTRUCK ENTERTAINMENT. That name might not ring a bell with most of you but it's a company owned by Reba McEntire's husband, Narvil!! Luckily I knew that and realized I had found my first Celebrity of the Day. I told Mom and Dad, "Reba's up ahead, let's go get her." I don't think either of them believed me at first...... We followed her to a hallway and well..........she went into the Bathroom. I was waiting 20 feet from the door so when she came out, she couldn't miss me. Sure enough, there's Reba....... what an amazingly beautiful and gracious woman......
Thank You so much for the three minutes you spent with Mom, Dad and I....... I've never seen Mom starstruck before, and actually know for a fact that Mom usually could careless about someone famous, but meeting Reba was a treasure we'll cherish forever......

Noon....................Same Day.................. Same Place
Dad and I went into the only Apple store in Nashville....... Unfortunately I didn't get a picture with him,
but I recognized Ty Herndon and he remembered we had met 2 previous times.
We chatted about 2 minutes and off we went.....
Go buy a cd of Ty's he could use some radio time..... those Mac's aren't cheap!!

As we were heading for the parking lot, This very nice man who looked very familiar
was coming out of a Store. He looked at me about the same time I
looked at him and I believe he remembered meeting me in the past.
It was Ken Dudley, Barbara Mandrell's Husband!! We didn't talk, but it was good seeing him again.
(last year at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ken took a picture with my camera of Barbara and I)

About 2pm, same day but we're now at
the Cool Springs Galleria Mall. I had never
been to this mall before so I had no idea what to expect. It was a nice
mall, but it sure wasn't
Green Hills Mall.
It didn't take long and There was Phillip Sweet of "Little Big Town". As always, it was good to see Phillip, friendly as ever and very gracious with his time........
